According to an Amazon listing, Metroid Prime 4 will be released on December 31, 2022, through a Nintendo Switch Digital Code. This will be the first home console Metroid title since Other M from 2010. Although Retro Studios will not be returning to develop the game, Nintendo is likely making sure it will be a stellar experience on Switch. Metroid Prime 2 and 3 were also acclaimed, with a score of 92 and 90 respectively. The first Metroid Prime has a 97 on Metacritic putting it in the top 20 highest rated games of all time on the aggregator site. The core Metroid Prime series has been acclaimed and beloved by many.
